Syria said Friday that peace talks are possible next month and chemical weapons experts passed the half-way mark in their inspections, as rebels killed a top military intelligence officer.
State television announced that Major General Jamaa Jamma "was martyred while carrying out his national duties to defend Syria and its people and pursuing terrorists in Deir Ezzor."
