Expect cloudy skies with moderate to occasionally heavy rains over Southern Luzon on Saturday due to tail-end of cold front affecting this area, the state weather bureau said.
The tail-end of a cold front is the front boundary of two air masses, which produces clouds and rain.
In its advisory, PAGASA said Bicol region and the province of Quezon will experience cloudy skies with moderate to occasionally heavy rainshowers and thunderstorms which may trigger flashfloods and landslides.
It added the regions of Cagayan Valley, Cordillera, Ilocos and the province of Aurora will have cloudy skies with light rains while Metro Manila and the rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.
PAGASA said that moderate to strong winds blowing from the northeast will prevail over Luzon and its coastal waters will be moderate to rough.
Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the east to northeast with slight to moderate seas.
PAGASA also issued gale warning as strong to gale force winds associated with the surge of Northeast Monsoon is expected to affect the Eastern seaboard of Luzon.
“Fishing boats and other small seacrafts are advised not to venture out into the sea while larger sea vessels are alerted against big waves,” it said. PNA
