Running enthusiasts are invited to take part in Takbo Sabado, a weekly training series on running and fitness to be held during the remaining Saturdays of June and the first Saturday of July. Organized by Manila Broadcasting Company (MBC) in partnership with the National Collegiate Athletic Association, the running sessions which begin at 5:30 a.m. in front of the MBC building at the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) Complex, are being given for free, to build interest in the Manila Bay Clean Up Run, scheduled on Sunday, July 13, in time for the 75th anniversary of MBC’s flagship station DZRH. National athletes and volunteer runners will conduct group trainings that will culminate in a pace-guided 5-kilometer run around the CCP complex.
Registration for the 3-kilometer, 5-km, 10-km and 21-km races of the Manila Bay Clean-Up Run is ongoing at the following venues: MBC lobby, ROX Global City, Planet A Sports Trinoma, and Athlete’s Foot Alabang Town Center.
