Talib facing one-game ban over eye poke

LOS ANGELES: Denver Broncos cornerback Aqib Talib was hit with a one-game ban on Monday 9Tuesday in Manila) for poking an opponent in the eye during the team’s defeat to the Indianapolis Colts. The NFL reported on its website that Talib had been suspended for one game without pay following the incident involving Colts tight end Dwayne Allen during the Broncos 27-24 loss. Talib had earlier dismissed suggestions that the poke was deliberate, despite damning video footage of the incident.
