Far Eastern University (FEU) will be shooting for the first Final Four slot when it faces Adamson University today in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines Season 77 men’s basketball tournament at the Araneta Coliseum.
The Tamaraws take on the Soaring Falcons at 4 p.m. right after the University of the Philippines-Ateneo de Manila University match at 2 p.m.
Holding a 9-2 mark on top of the standings, FEU is just a win away of clinching a spot in the semifinals. Ateneo and defending champion De La Salle University are sharing the second place with 8-3 each while National University is in fourth with 7-4.
The Tamaraws must play a high-level of game especially against the Falcons, who are hungry to nail their first win.
Mike Tolomia, Mark Belo and Anthony Hargrove will be in the forefront of FEU’s offense with supports coming from Alejandrino Inigo, Carl Bryan Cruz and Roger Pogoy.
Adamson remains winless in 11 games and already out of the Final Four race.
But expect the Falcons to go all-out to at least have a graceful exit this season.
All eyes will be on Don Trollano and Jansen Rios who combined for 37 points when Adamson lost to La Salle, 57-66, last Sunday.
