University Athletic Association of the Philippines finalists Far Eastern University and University of Santo Tomas are already secured of slots in the 2015 Philippine Collegiate Champions League (PCCL).
FEU and UST will be joining National Collegiate Athletics Association champion Colegio de San Juan de Letran and runner-up San Beda College along with
Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. winner University of San Carlos in the Elite Eight.
The remaining three slots are reserved for two qualifiers from Luzon-Metro Manila games and one from the Visayas-Mindanao event.
PCCL Executive Director coach Joe Lipa said competing teams in the Luzon-Metro Manila are National University, Mapua Institute of Technology, Jose Rizal University, St. Claire College, PATTS Aeronautics, Technological Institute of Technology and Olivarez College.
The Luzon-Metro Manila qualifying games will be on December 9 to 13 to be held at the TIP Gym in Manila and FAITH School in Tanauan, Batangas while the Visayas-Mindanao is set on December 8 to 10 in Ormoc City.
The tournament is sanctioned by the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas. It brings together collegiate champions in the country competing for the coveted Manny V. Pangilinan Perpetual Trophy. JEAN RUSSEL V. DAVID
