SOME parts of Tarlac and Nueva Ecija will experience 11 hours of power interruption on Wednesday.
The National Grid Corp of the Philippines (NGCP) advisory said the outage will start from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. and will affect areas covered by Tarlac I Electric Cooperative Inc. (Tarelco I) and Tarlac Electric Inc. (TEI).
Among the affected areas include Tarlac City and the towns of San Manuel, Moncada, Paniqui, Anao, Gerona, Ramos, Pura, Sta. Ignacia, Victoria, San Clemente, Mayantoc and Camiling as well as the municipalities of Nampicuan and Cuyapo in Nueva Ecija province.
Ernest Lorenz Vidal, Central Luzon corporate communications and public affairs officer, said the temporary shutdown is to facilitate annual preventive maintenance of power transformer and its associated power equipment.
Vidal said the public is advised to take necessary preparations and precautions for the power interruption.
NGCP’s customers and the general public are advised to take the necessary preparations and precautions for this scheduled interruption.
“Normal operations will immediately resume after work completion,” he added.
