Tarlac town hosts culture, arts campus tour

BAMBAN, Tarlac: This southernmost town in the province recently hosted a culture and arts promotion campus tour organized by the National Commission for Culture and Arts and the Philippine Information Agency to inspire students to highlight the artistry and cultural identity of the Central Luzon region. The fifth and final leg was held at the Dapdap High School (DHS) here after Potrero High School in Pampanga, Tarlac State University, Central Luzon State University in Nueva Ecija and Aurora State College of Technology. “Our goal is to preserve, promote and enrich artistry and traditions of the provinces and at the same time promote various programs of the NCCA through these campus tours,” PIA regional director William Beltran said. Meanwhile, some P20,000 worth of culture and arts books were donated to DHS Star Books Library and various information, education, and communication materials on government programs and projects were distributed to the faculty and students, according to school officer-in-charge Rupert Patangui Jr.
