ANTIPOLO CITY: A 29-year-old taxi driver was arrested after he allegedly raped a 13-year-old passenger whom he reportedly abducted on late on Saturday. The victim, identified only as “Jane,” said she was forced inside a taxi being driven by Jiomar Saulog. She said that she was walking along the bus stop in Baclaran at 8 p.m. on Saturday when Saulong followed her and dragged her into the taxi. The driver, whose face was covered with a T-shirt, sprayed the car with a sweet scent that made the victim dizzy. She was taken by the suspect to Barangay Santa Cruz in Antipolo City.
Luckily, the Antipolo Police was roving in the area and they flashed at the taxi where they saw the suspect raping the victim. The suspect denied the accusations, saying the victim is a prostitute. Saulog claimed he was beaten up by police to make him admit to the crime.
