TAYABAS CITY, Quezon: The Department of the Interior and Local Government in Calabarzon region on Friday served the suspension of Tayabas City Mayor Faustino “Dondi” Silang as ordered by the Deputy Ombudsman for Luzon dated July 11, 2014.
Silang and Councilors Rex Aba–dilla and Macario Reyes were suspended for six months for violation of Sections 4 and 7 of Republic Act 6713 (Grave Abuse of Authority) filed by the Councilors Rosauro Dalida, Nicodemes Abesamis, Catalino Cabriga and Maria Lourdes A. Reynoso.
