One of Hollywood’s hottest hunks Taylor Lautner arrived in Manila last week to promote his latest endorsement with Bench clothing.

Lautner who played the role of Jacob Black in the Twilight movie franchise arrived at the Ninoy Aquino National Airport Terminal 1 around 4 a.m. and was greeted by a mob of fans who kept screaming his character name, “Jacob!”

In a press conference held at the Makati Shangri-La Rizal Ballroom later in the day Lautner shared he doesn’t mind being called Jacob as this was the character that opened up doors for him in Hollywood.

“I love Jacob and that franchise means a lot to me. We made that movie for the fans and the fans love it. So it’s great! I don’t mind being called Jacob, forever!” the Hollywood cutie quipped.

He also told host Sam Oh how he prepared for the part, gaining over 30 pounds of lean muscle and eating a whopping 4500 calories everyday of healthy foods.

As for his endorsement with the local fashion brand, Lautner said the partnership was like “a perfect marriage” since his “comfortable and simple” style fit perfectly well with what the all-Filipino clothing brand is all about.

His lean physique was all-Bench covered, with his sleek dark blue coat-jacket, clean V-neck white shirt, and skinny denims that showed off his perfectly toned legs.

Born Taylor Daniel Lautner in Grand Rapids, Michigan to parents, Deborah and Daniel Lautner, Taylor discovered a love for acting at age seven, when he was encouraged to audition for a small appearance in a Burger King commercial.

When his family eventually moved to Los Angeles, he eventually landed more and more small acting roles in shows such as “My Wife and Kids” (2001), “Summerland” (2004), and “The Bernie Mac Show” (2001). Taylor soon found success in films as well, landing the role of Sharkboy in the family blockbuster flick, The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl 3-D (2005), and the role of Eliot Murtaugh in Cheaper by the Dozen 2 (2005).

His big break would come in 2008, when Taylor auditioned for the role of werewolf hunk Jacob Black in Twilight and the rest as they say is history.

Besides Twilight he has also starred in the ensemble romantic comedy, Valentine’s Day, the action- thriller Abduction, Grown Ups 2 and the upcoming movie Tracers.
