Twenty years ago, The Body Shop launched a product range featuring the purest and most potent tea tree oil harvested by hand and distilled for 12 hours by farmers living at the foothills of Mount Kenya.
Since then, the English cosmetics company’s Tea Tree range has become a cult favorite, a skin superhero, and the No. 1 anti-imperfection solution by women all over the globe. The products also targets blemishes, removes impurities and mattifies skin.
Apart from the tea tree oil, the range is also infused with tamaru oil from Madagascar. Extracted from the nut of the tamaru tree, this has incredible healing capacity, and works to promote the formulation of new tissue thereby accelerating the healing of blemishes.
More importantly, The Body Shop continues to source tea tree oil via Community Fair Trade with Kenya Organic Farmers’ Association. This partnership has not only help strengthen and develop the local economy but also create vital employment on Kenyan farms.
