PUBLIC school teachers and non-teaching personnel will soon get their one-time productivity enhancement incentive (PEI) equivalent to one month basic salary, according to the Department of Education (DepEd).
Education Secretary Armin Luistro said the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) has released P14 billion for the PEI of all DepEd employees.
“The funds are being downloaded to DepEd regional offices,” he said.
The DepEd chief said he has directed all field offices to prepare the payroll of the qualified employees.
Qualified employees are those who have rendered at least a total or an aggregate of four months of service as of May 31, 2015, including leaves of absence with pay, and who are still in the service as of May 31, 2015; and obtained at least a satisfactory performance rating.
“Employees who have rendered less than four months of satisfactory service as of May 31, 2015 may still be paid the full amount of the PEI upon completion of the four months and satisfactory service rating requirements before the end of fiscal year 2015,” Luistro said.
