In keeping with GMA Network’s vision of being constantly at the forefront of new media innovation, Digify Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of GMA New Media Inc., has once again blazed the trail in providing technology-based solutions for prominent brands.
A mobile app developed by Digify in collaboration with GMA Marketing and Productions (GMPI) for Del Monte Kitchenomics gained both local and international acclaim by bringing home distinctions from the Spark Awards and the Philippine Association of National Advertisers’ (PANA) Awards for Marketing Effectiveness.
Digify’s biggest breakthrough this year is the launch of its proprietary real-time pattern recognition software that can detect and recognize sonic signatures emitted by various media sources using access devices such as computers, tablets and smart phones.
This software is at the core of Almost Real, a Digify-owned mobile application, which can recognize sonic patterns in the audible and inaudible ranges. When a sound signature is recognized by the access device through the app, content such as coupons, videos or song lyrics is triggered, allowing for a rich and immersive user experience.
It has been a year since Smart Communications Inc. introduced Filipinos to the homegrown, original music-streaming app that is Spinnr. And since its inception, the app provided millions daily access to the soundtracks of their lives.
When the app was launched in 2013, Smart’s Innovation and Product Development head Mellissa Limcaoco vowed that the app will exist “to serve Filipino music lovers because they will have access to the best and most relevant collection of music anytime, anywhere through their mobile smartphones.”
Promise fulfilled, Spinnr did change the Filipino music lifestyle for Smart, Talk ‘N Text and Sun Cellular subscribers.
Celebrating its first birthday with another milestone, the app launched the new Spinnr Radio at Gramercy 71 in Makati on November 6.
To access Spinnr Radio: First, download the app to your smartphone via the Play Store/App Store or go to www.spinnr.ph then log in and lastly, click on Radio.
