GAZIANTEP, Turkey: Angela Merkel travels to Turkey on Saturday for a high-stakes visit which will require her to walk a diplomatic tightrope between keeping Ankara sweet over a crucial migrant deal and taking a stand on European values.
Merkel, who will be accompanied by European Council head Donald Tusk and European Commission Vice President Frans Timmermans, will visit a refugee camp at 5:15 p.m. (1415 GMT) in Gaziantep on the Turkish-Syrian border.
