Tesda, MSU ink pact vs poverty in Mindanao


THE Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (Tesda) has signed a memorandum of co-operation with Mindanao State University (MSU) System to combat and reduce poverty in the region. Both parties agreed on strategies to fully utilize the potential of technical vocational education and training (TVET) to further develop manpower resources to foster growth. Tesda director general, Guil-ing Mamondiong, said the MSU System has contributed greatly to the integration programs among the people and provided skills training for the economic development of Mindanao, Sulu and Palawan. The MSU System has campuses in Lanao del Sur, Maguindanao, Sulu, Tawi-Tawi, Zamboanga Sibugay, La-nao del Norte, Misamis Oriental, Lanao del Norte and South Cotabato.
