• Tesda online courses attract 240,000 enrollees


    TAGAYTAY CITY: Online vocational courses offered by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (Tesda) has attracted 240,000 enrollees. Tesda Director General Joel Villanueva said among the courses offered are information technology, tourism, housekeeping, electronics, agriculture, automotive, animation, cellphone servicing, curriculum development and others which are accessible especially for overseas workers who wants to learn other skills. He said 70 to 80 percent of Tesda graduates were hired here and abroad. Tesda records showed that 6,281,328 graduated from 2010 to June 2014 while from January 1986 to June 2014, the total graduates were 21,700,308.
