The influential Teves clan of Negros Oriental has endorsed the vice presidential bid of Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.
Bais City Mayor Mercedes Teves Goñi personally welcomed Marcos when he visited the city on Wednesday, accompanied by local officials, including Vice Mayor Miguel Real, Provincial Board Member Jed Goñi and Association of Barangay Councils (ABC) president Joemarie Badoy, and Tanjay City Mayor Lawrence Teves and his city officials.
Also on Wednesday, Marcos proceeded to Bayawan City where he was received by 3rd District Rep. Henry “Pryde” Teves.
On Monday, Marcos was in Iloilo City where he inaugurated the BBM 2016 Volunteer Center in Barangay Tabuc, Suba, Jaro area. The center was made possible through the help of Jun Sagucio, a Marcos loyalist and leader of Compact Team, a civic group.
Marcos led the oath-taking of more than a thousand volunteers at the Jaro Plaza gym.
He also made a courtesy call on Jaro Archbishop Angel Lagdameo at the Bishop’s Residence.
The frontrunner VP bet then brought his caravan to the Pavia town where he met local leaders.
