UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon thanks Foreign Secretary Albert F. Del Rosario for the Philippines’ support to UN peacekeeping during his recent meeting with the ASEAN Foreign Ministers. Ban publicly commended the Philippine government for maintaining Filipino peacekeepers in Golan Heightsdespite the two kidnapping incidents in March and May this year. Ban said Filipino peacekeepers are extremely courageous in performing an outstanding necessary task.
