The 39th MMFF’s star-studded festivities

It was another night of glitz and glamour as the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority staged the 39th Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) Awards Night at the Meralco Theater in Pasig City on December 27.

The biggest names in show business look forward to this annual event, not only to receive honor but also to flaunt their fashion and style.

Scene-stealers were of course, the hosts for the night, ABS-CBN Kapamilya stars KC Concepcion and Kris Aquino in their couture gowns.

Gov. ER Ejercito of Laguna who goes by the screen name, John Estregan showed up in his usual round spectacles and his red-bow tuxedo.

Lovi Poe and Rocco Nacino who both looked regal arrived together in their gold and white ensemble, respectively. Nacino, who played in the Pedro Calungsod film, did a live theater production at the awards night.

Also smoking in their gold ensemble are actresses Bella Padilla and Carla Humphries, who both played in the socio-political film, 10,000 Hours.

Sen. Grace Poe-Llamanzares with her son, Brian, came to present the Fernando Poe Jr. Memorial Awards for Excellence. Looking as graceful as ever, the senator wore a dark blue long-sleeved gown.

Best Actor Robin Padilla came in his brown top hat and silver coat and tie ensemble, while his wife, Mariel Rodriguez, came in moments after his arrival.

The stars of the night were teen love-team Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo. The young Padilla proudly walked the red carpet while he had his arm around Bernardo’s bare waist, which was welcomed with roars from their fans. While Padilla wore his tuxedo, Bernardo had her white floor-length gown.
