Eighteen of the best Philippine export companies invaded a European trade fair for home, fashion, and gifts.
The group, which is under Lifestyle Philippines, showcased top-quality home, fashion, and gift products in a curated exhibition in Ambiente, Europe’s foremost consumer goods expo. It took place in February at Messe Frankfurt in Germany.
The Filipino exhibitors were brought to Frankfurt by the Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions (Citem), the export promotions arm of the Department of Trade and Industry.
Curated by German product consultant and designer Detlef Klatt, along with young Philippine talent Rachelle Dagñalan, Lifestyle Philippines in Ambiente 2016 featured Philippine-made products including unique jewelry and bags, home and holiday décor, and boudoir furniture.
Also in abundance were lamps and lighting crafted from various natural materials like shagreen, bone, buffalo horn, capiz shells, nacre or mother-of-pearl, ebony, and indigenous fibers.
All these were seen at two Philippine pavilions. “Giving,” which was located at Hall 10.0, carried fashion merchandise, handicrafts, and gifts by Alice Blue Candle Inc., Avatar Accessories Inc., Cyprea International Inc., Klassy Collections & Designs Co., Larone Crafts Inc., Oricon Corp., and, under the Philippine International Trading Corp., Delza’s Native Products, Eva Marie Arts And Crafts, and Lolo Bobby Handicraft.
On the other hand, the “Living” pavilion at Hall 10.2 featured exclusive home décor and accessories from Arden Classic Inc., Celestial Arts Inc., Chanalli, Finali Furniture and Home Accessories Co., Firma Objects Of Art Inc., Peter And Paul Inc., Prado Filipino Artisans Inc., Tadeco Inc., and Venzon Lighting Manufacturing.
Lifestyle Philippines is a branding initiative by Citem, the owner and organizer of the bi-annual trade fair Manila FAME: The Design & Lifestyle Event.
