Filled with a selection of gastronomic treats, Urban Flavors at Estancia served as the perfect showcase of select dining destinations of Ortigas & Company’s newest lifestyle hub in Capitol Commons.
Held at the 2nd Level of Estancia, the event was an epicurean adventure that delighted both guests’ eyes and palates.
Hosted and curated by noted food creative JJ Yulo, who is also behind the Just Jonesing and Pinoy Eats World, Urban Flavors was a delectable affair that brought together some of the most popular restaurants and foodie haunts of Estancia, who all served the stars of their respective menus.
“We want Urban Flavors to be a celebration of the finest that Estancia’s restaurants can offer. We are proud of the variety of concepts we have here and are thrilled to bring all these wonderful food finds to friends, families, and foodies,” said Ortigas & Company vice president, Cathy Casares-Ko, at the event.
European continental restaurant Black Olive served appetizers like truffled mushroom crostini and involtini of grilled eggplant, roast tomato, feta cheese, and black olives, one of their menu highlights. The Wholesome Table also presented their own appetizer, the burrata topped with grape tomatoes and fresh basil, along with The Wholesome Mojito and a selection of healthy smoothies and juices. Baskets filled with a mouthwatering assortment of breads and pastries from The Artisan Emporium also complemented the spread.
Florabel served guests its signature Watermelon and Goat Cheese Salad with Almonds and signature iced tea. PBCo. offered the cold course in the form of its Cold Asian noodles, which was a savory teaser to the hot courses.
Spice & Cleaver kicked off the hot course selection with its grilled sausage sampler which featured uniquely flavored artisan sausages. I Am Kim then fired up everyone’s palate with a hefty serving of its Kitayama steak and eggs bap. Capping off everyone’s meal were desserts from PBCo. and UCC Clockwork, which served the toast marshmallow ice cream and a selection of cakes (Green Tea Sansrival, Hokkaido Malt Cake, Mango Crème Brulee) and crepe (Mango Crepe Samurai) respectively.
“Curating the food course for this affair was a delight, especially with the tasty treasures being carried by Estancia’s dining establishments. It was a rich mix of fares done in local and international traditions and I’m sure that guests enjoyed the culinary journey done amidst an easygoing spirit of community and common love for food. Surely, the experience of Urban Flavors can be extended to the mall guests of Estancia who are out to discover and dig into the offers of its restaurants,” added JJ Yulo.
The luxurious lifestyle center of the 10-hectare Ortigas & Company development Capitol Commons, Estancia houses not only culinary must-visits but also stores and brands that capture the exciting urban lifestyle of the sophisticated, cultured set.
