The difference of DesigualJuly 17, 2013 8:22 pm
You spend countless hours trying to establish your identity and individuality, so why should your fashion statement scream ordinary?
Looking to bring more color to the otherwise gloomy skies of the rainy season, Barcelona-based fashion brand Desigual held its grand launch on July 11 at Club Haze, and introduced its collection of vibrant and fun casual clothing line to the Philippine market.
Desigual, coined from the Spanish word that means “different,” is known for its patchwork designs, intense prints, innovative graffiti art and flamboyant splashes of color.
Founded in 1984 by Thomas Meyer, it has come a long way in bringing an edge in casual wear. French designer Christian Lacroix who is known for his use of hot colors and assortment of patterns has worked with the brand, as well as a worldwide partnership with Canadian entertainment company Cirque du Soleil, famous for their “dramatic mix of circus arts and street entertainment,” which has been an inspiration for Desigual.
With a philosophy of positivity, tolerance, commitment and fun, Desigual brings “unique” to a higher level, with a promise that no one design is ever the same, making each piece of dress, shirt or pants different from the rest.
Worn during the day or night, Desigual clothing for men and women mixes comfort and style, bringing delightful designs reminiscent of the fun summer days in the beach. Coming from Mediterranean Europe, Desigual invokes that wild energy that can only come from beautiful inspirations of Ibiza.
In the Philippines, Desigual is exclusively distributed by Stores Specialists Inc. and is located at Shangri-la Plaza Mall and soon to open in Bonifacio High Street Central.
