FINALLY, at 3 p.m. on Friday, the meet and greet between FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano lead actor Coco Martin and PNP Director General Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa took place.

The much awaited face to face happened at the Camp Crame office of the new Police Chief. Coco, who plays a dedicated police officer on the leading primetime series, had personally requested to be introduced to one of his real life idols.

During the meeting, Coco could not hide how happy he felt. He took the opportunity to personally express his gratitude for the achievements of the PNP’s fight against crime, illegal drugs, and the drive to eradicate corruption within the PNP.

“I almost couldn’t speak in front of him but I’m glad to have met th simple and down-to-earth chief. I thanked him for PNP’s support to our show,” the new generation action star narrated.

Despite the general’s very busy schedule, he warmly welcomed Coco into his office and could not hide the fact that he was also a big fan of the show.

“Will Jaime Fabregas die?” he immediately asked Coco. The Ang Probinsyano star gamely updated the general without giving away spoilers to the story. General dela Rosa also congratulated Ang Probinsyano for its success and for honoring the police force.

Also present during the meeting were the show’s production manager Dagang Vilbar, directors Malu Sevilla and Avel Sunpongco, and assistant director Kevin De Vela. The Probinsyano team expressed its commitment in continuing to help teach positive values to Filipinos on how to become law abiding citizens and how to help solve crime. They also related to the general that if there is a message or story concept that the PNP wishes to relay to viewers through the teleserye, their team is open to it.

As the country’s most consistently watched show on television, Ang Probinsyano reached a viewership high of 45.7-percent on July 20 beating Encantadia’s 20.1-percent based on Kantar National’s ratings.

That same day at the Lycean Choice Media Awards at Lyceum of the Philippines University in Batangas, the show won Best Primetime Series, and Coco won the Best TV Actor award. FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano executive producer Hazel Parfan was present to receive the awards.

Luis Manzano and Jessy Mendiola

Unlike most celebrities, Luis Manzano is not one to remain passive when it comes to his bashers on social media. The Minute to Win It host has been posting screen grabs of hate tweets referring to his relationship with Jessy Mendiola. In a series of screen grabbed profiles of the bashers, Luis also questioned the use of God and Bible quotes in their profiles despite their rampant trolling.

“If you are rude to me, I’ll be rude to you,” he warned.

The barrage of hate tweets started when Luis became vocal that Jessy Mendiola is someone special in his life right now. What added fuel to the fire was also a recent interview where Jessy defended herself after being accused as the reason behind Luis and Angel Locsin split earlier this year.

In an interview after the story conference for new movie Extra Service under Star Cinema, Jessy bravely answered all the issues and accusations. But during the latter part of the interview, she could no longer hide her emotions. Jessy for the most part just wanted to clarify that Luis was already single when they started going out.

“My heart is pure. I would never, ever destroy a relationship,” she swore.

It’s been months since the Luis and Angel break up but it seems that both their fans and haters have yet to move on from the issue. Can’t we all just get along and be happy for Luis and Jessy? Luis’s ex, Angel, is known to be a brave lady so we are sure she has moved on as well.

Fans of James Reid at Nadine are rejoicing after Dreamscape announced their new teleserye project for the two, following up their hit series On the Wings of Love. The title of their new romantic soap is Till I Met You which will once again be under Dreamscape, the same producer of OTWOL.

In the new wedding-themed series, James and Nadine will both play wedding planners. A controversial part of the plot is the inclusion of actor JC Santos who will complete the story’s love triangle. JC is a talented theater actor who has appeared in ABS-CBN shows like Tubig at Langis and the Cinema One series Single/Single.

Completing the cast of Till I Met You are Carmina Villarroel, Angel Aquino, Zoren Legaspi and Pokwang. Today, July 25 is the first day to shoot their scenes in Manila. James, Nadine and the rest of the cast are scheduled to fly to Greece by August 8 to shoot more important and big scenes. Jadine and entire cast will stay in Greece for the whole month of August.

Tonette Jadaone at Andoy Ranay are at the helm of Til I Met You. Jadaone directed James at Nadine in their last teleserye while Ranay was the director of Jadine’s hit movie Diary Ng Panget.

Till I Met You will also have a very interesting theme song which was sung by Odette Quesada. Besides the song “Till I Met You,” which is included in the Till I Met You original sound track, Quesada’s other hits like “Friend of Mine,” “I Need You Back,” “Don’t Know What to Say,” etc. will also be part of the upcoming album.

Dreamscape is the creator of other hit ABS-CBN TV series like FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano, Doble Kara and the weekend top-rater Wansapanataym.
