To kick off its 25th anniversary celebrations, Star Parks Corporation treated children from 25 different charities to a fun-filled day out dubbed “Saya at Ngiti sa Star City—Maagang Pamasko sa Batang Pilipino” in the all-weather and air-conditioned theme park in the heart of Pasay City.
A total of 625 kids from orphanages, juvenile shelters, rescue centers, and SPED institutions were treated to ride-all-you can access, a magic show, and a parade of characters from Cosplay.Ph as well as the park’s mascot group, with generous sponsors providing free food and drinks, plus loot bags of snacks and product giveaways for each child.
The management team of Star City was also in full force, along with the sales/marketing staff and all park attendants to ensure that the event ran smoothly.
For practically all the attendees, it was their very first time to visit an amusement park, so the early Christmas treat brought forth radiant smiles that lit their faces. Guardians and chaperons who are normally hard-put in caring for their wards also savored the treat as a respite from their usual duties at their respective NGOs.
Established in 1991 as a spin-off from the hugely popular Philcite Toys and Gifts Fair, Star City now has more than 30 different rides and attractions for people of all ages, focussing on providing families maximum enjoyment through a stimulating array of indoor and outdoor attractions, captivating both the young and the young-at-heart. Now bigger and better after having expanded into an annex, Star City also opened earlier this year an adventure zone that caters to corporate teambuilding activities.
