THOUSANDS of students on Monday queued at the University of the Philippines in Diliman, Quezon City to submit their UP College Admission Test (UPCAT) application forms.

UP police estimated that as many as 10,000 senior high school students flocked to the registrar’s office at 9 a.m. to beat the deadline that was extended from July 27. Some even set up tents in the area at 9 p.m. on Sunday to secure slots.
