Three killed in Zambo road mishap


ZAMBOANGA CITY: Three persons were killed and at least a dozen others were injured in a road accident involving three vehicles in Zamboanga del Sur province in southern Philippines, police said on Sunday. Police said a passenger bus driven by Sanny Santaromana, 38, hit a truck after losing its brakes in Ramon Magsaysay town. The truck, driven by Julio dela Cerna, 61, also rammed a car before flipping several times. Dela Cerna and his passengers Grace and Fernando Labadan died in the freak accident that happened on Saturday morning. The driver of the car Jover Constantino and Santaromana and other passengers of the bus and truck, including a two-year child, were also injured from the mishap and rushed to hospital. Police said Santaromano was eventually detained as investigation into the deadly crash is going on.
