Thrift banks in the Philippines recorded 5.34 percent non-performing loans (NPL) at end-December 2012.
In a statement on Wednesday, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) reported that the NPL ratio of the thrift banking (TB) industry as of end-December 2012 rose by 0.37 percentage point from the previous semester’s 4.97 percent.
