University of Santo Tomas (UST) outplayed second seed University of the Philippines (UP), 7-2, on Friday to force a do-or-die game in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines Season 77 softball stepladder semifinals at the Rizal Memorial Baseball Stadium in Manila.
Kris Lacupa, Christine Palma, Cristy Joy Roa and Mary Garde scored one run each to lead the Tigresses to comfortable 4-0 edge in the first inning. Since then, UST never looked back.
