• Philippines’ positive response to digital age makes it in good position for growth — IBM chief

THE Philippines’ positive response to digital age has put it in a very good position for growth, the chief of IBM Philippines said on Wednesday.
“The way the country is embracing technology to enable people to work and connect better puts us in a very good position for growth,” Luisito Pineda, president and country general manager of IBM Philippines, said. “We are in a unique position to thrive as a business community and as a country.”
Pineda made this statement in a keynote speech titled “How to Survive the Tide of Competition, Cyber Threats, and Money Laundering” during The Manila Times 4th Business Forum, with the theme “Philippine Banking: Does Size Matter,” held in Marriott Hotel Manila in Pasay City. MAYVELIN U. 1. When you are the at the bottom there is always a chance for growth.

In the Philippines university graduates generally can’t afford to purchase technology due to being underemployment and underpaid. A degree without a decent salary is worthless.
