Times’ CEO, columnist named Outstanding Professionals by SMI

THE MANILA TIMES president and CEO Dante Ang 2nd and columnist Ma. Lourdes Navarro Tiquia are among this year’s Outstanding Professionals of the Philippines awardees.

Tiquia is also the founder and general manager of PUBLiCUS Asia Inc.

The Outstanding Professionals Awards, launched in August 2012 by the Superbrand Marketing International Inc. (SMI), recognizes professionals with the discipline and determination to succeed and for their nation-building efforts.

SMI is an award-giving body engaged in consumer and service products. Similar to the SMI awards conferred on governors, mayors, dignitaries and lawmakers, the group also acknowledges the role of professionals in nation-building.

For the SMI, these awardees “are a clear manifestation of the strong character built and the proper moral grounds being captains of industry that exemplify what it takes to be a professional.”
