• TJGL Inter School Golf meet unfolds Aug. 5


    Young golfers will showcase their skills in The Junior Golfers League (TJGL) Inter School Golf Championships 2017 set on August 5 and 6 at the Eastridge Golf Club in Binangonan, Rizal.

    Aiming to develop golfers from the grassroots level, the TJGL conducts a series tournaments in different courses in the country.

    “We want to nurture our Filipino junior golfers especially, the beginners to prepare them for much higher competitions,” said TJGL president Chona dela Cruz.

    The sequential tee off begins at 10:30 a.m. at holes No. 1 and 10. A Molave Stableford game format will be used in the tournament.

    The event is exclusive to member schools of TJGL, which has 180 members to date.

    Among the participating member schools are Assumption Antipolo, Ateneo De Manila University, De La Salle Zobel, Singapore School Manila, Xavier School, Makati Hope Christian School, Faith Academy, British School Manila, The Master Academy, Saint Pedro Poveda College, Brent International School Subic, Don Bosco Technical Institute, and Saint Paul Colleg-Pasig.

    TJGL is the grassroots development program of the Junior Golf Federation of the Philippines.

    After Eastridge, the competition will be held at Beverly Place Golf Club on August 12 and 13; Eagle Ridge Golf and Country Club (ERGCC) – Norman golf course on August 19 and 20, September 2 to 3, and September 10. The final three destinations will be at Southlinks Golf Club on August 26 and 27, and at Sherwood Hills on September 9.
