Laguna Rep. Benjie Agarao of the ruling Liberal Party (LP) has apologized and cleared Chairman Francis Tolentino of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority of any involvement in the “obscene” show of scantily clad women held after an LP gathering.
Agarao was responding to the two videos that went viral which showed a woman dry humping and doing random sexual scenes during Agarao’s birthday party held in his home in Sta. Cruz, Laguna.
“Humihingi ako ng pasensiya. Yung nag announce, baka may nagbulong lang na Chairman Tolentino, alam mo naman sa pulitika (I would like to apologize for what happened.
Maybe the emcee was just told that chairman Tolentino was the one behind it because it’s the political season),” Agarao told reporters.
Tolentino will be running for senator in 2016, presumably under the LP banner.
“Wala naman sinabi si chairman sa akin na o, may regalo ako sayo. Aalamin ko pa [kung kanino galing]…siguro barkada (Chairman did not tell me about any gift. I have yet to find out who was the one who made the show possible…maybe one of my friends),”Agarao added.
“It was a private event. The oathtaking of LP was long done. It wasn’t a part of the program. Alam mo naman sa probinsiya, nakayapak, nakatsinelas, nakabarong, naka-amerikana…lahat dumarating sa birthday ni congressman (You know how it is in the province, people from all walks of life attend a congressman’s birthday),” Agarao, who is gunning for reelection in 2016, said.
