Top US State Department official visits Manila


State Assistant Secretary William R. Brownfield, head of the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs, will be in Manila on September 23 and 24 to discuss with government officials the maritime law enforcement efforts in the country and in the region. Brownfield will meet with Philippine National Police Chief Director General Ricardo Marquez, and with Ombudsman Conchita Carpio Morales. He will travel to Manila with the Commandant of the U.S. Coast Guard, Admiral Paul F. Zukunft.
