Over 120 cyclists from Luzon will join the two-day inaugural Tour of Tarlac today in Tarlac City, Tarlac.
Race director Arjuna Saulo said that the tour’s course is very challenging for the cyclists because of the up and down hill areas of the track. The competitors will test their mettle through a mix of rolling climb, sharp turn points, and steep roads under the scorching summer heat.
“The race road we have here in Tarlac is more challenging than what we have in the Tour of Tayabas,” added Saulo, a national team coach for Mountain Bike.
The Tarlac race is a prelude to the upcoming 4th Tour of Tayabas in May and the inaugural Tour of Rizal in September.
The tournament features three events namely individual time trial (22-kilometers), road race (75km), and team trial race (23km).
