Toyota Motor Phils. (TMP) joined this year’s Sikad-Lakad-Takbo (Silakbo) fund-raiser for the Save Silang-Santa Rosa River Foundation Inc., a non-profit organization devoted to the protection and rehabilitation of the Santa Rosa Watershed. More than 30 Toyota team members participated as race marshals and as members of the organizing team. The activity organized by the city government of Santa Rosa, Laguna, was held at The Fields Nuvali. It carried the theme “Silakbo Goes Beyond the Distance – Run and Plant a Tree,” and was participated in by various businesses and communities in Santa Rosa City. Besides supporting the government’s environmental programs, Toyota also promotes its advocacy for nature conservation by maintaining its own tree nursery, hosting and joining various tree-planting activities, and partnering with the University of the Philippines Los Baños for its Adopt-A-Forest project inside the school’s Makiling Botanical Garden.
