Toyota Motor Philippines Corporation (TMP) celebrated Environment Month by holding a 3K Eco-Run inside the 82-hectare Toyota Special Economic Zone (TSEZ) in Santa Rosa City, Laguna.

Over 30 Toyota team members participated in the event.  After the Eco-Run, all the participants proceeded to a tree-planting activity inside the 11-hectare Toyota Forest within TSEZ.

All Toyota affiliates worldwide celebrate the Environment Month every June by promoting environment-friendly activities to its value chain as part of its commitment to the environment. Other Environment Month activities held to promote care for the environment included the Toyota Environment Month Photo Contest among Team Members, the 9th Dealer Environment, Safety, and Health (DESH) Conference, and the Environmental Best Practices Benchmarking Activity by suppliers in TMP.

On a larger scale, Toyota supports the Adopt-a-Forest Project at the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB) campus in Laguna, where Toyota provided total funding of P1.3 million to reforest 10 hectares inside the Makiling Botanic Gardens, create a three-hectare Toyota Palmetum Garden, where a nursery will also be established for propagation of palm tree seedlings, and refurbish an existing 300-square meter room to be developed into a Toyota Environment Education Theater.
