TOYOTA COMMITS TO QUALITY CONTROL THROUGH CONTEST

Toyota Motor Phils. (TMP) recently held its 21st Quality Control (QC) Circle Championship, a competition that showcases the best quality control improvement ideas and practices. Eight QC groups from TMP’s manufacturing division presented their concepts and four of them won gold awards and opportunities to compete and represent TMP in various local and international competitions. Team Engine Hotrod from the assembly section emerged as winner and will represent TMP in the Toyota Global Convention in Japan in October. Team Final Doctor from the welding section will be competing in the Toyota Asia Pacific Quality Circle Forum to be held in the Philippines in August. Teams KT 264 from painting 1 section and D’ Eagle Eye from quality inspection section will compete separately in a QC convention to be held locally.
