The Toyota Dealers Association (TDA) and the Toyota Motor Phils. School of Technology (TMP Tech) recently signed a memorandum of agreement that formalizes a partnership seen to strengthen and promote academe-industry linkage among Toyota-related organizations. Under the agreement, each Toyota dealer will sponsor at least one TMP Tech scholar per year for the two-year automotive servicing course. Upon graduation, the scholar will be given the opportunity to be employed under the sponsoring dealer outlet. To facilitate better learning, the dealers will also accommodate TMP Tech students for on-the-job training, giving them exposure to actual dealer workshop experience. The TMP Tech-TDA deal will ensure that all Toyota dealer outlets are well-equipped with professionals.
