TOYOTA GROUP DISCUSSES PLANS WITH PEZA

Toyota Motor Philippines Corporation (TMP), together with the Toyota Group of Export Suppliers, recently held its bi-annual meeting with the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) at the Makati Shangri-La Hotel in Makati City. The Toyota Group reported performance updates for the first half of the year, as well as their plans and goals for the next half of 2016.

Setting new records and milestones last year, the entire Toyota Group expressed gratitude to the government for its unwavering support and efforts to further boost the auto manufacturing industry in the Philippines. TMP president Satoru Suzuki conveyed his optimism on the Department of Trade and Industry’s recent approval of Toyota’s application in the Comprehensive Automotive Resurgence Strategy (CARS) Program.

Suzuki reaffirmed the entire Toyota Group’s commitment to continue working with the government in pushing for the sustainable development and progress of the local auto manufacturing industry and the Philippine economy.
