Toyota Motor Philippines Foundation (TMPF), together with Toyota Motor Philippines School of Technology (TMP Tech), actively participated in the Department of Education’s (DepEd) 2016 “Brigada Eskwela” at its adopted school, Pulong Santa Cruz Elementary School (PSCES) in Santa Rosa City, Laguna. With this year’s theme, “Tayo Para Sa Paaralang Ligtas, Maayos, at Handa Mula Kindergarten Hanggang Senior High School,” TMP Tech staff and students relive the Filipino spirit of “bayanihan” or volunteerism by helping make PSCES a safer campus and a more conducive environment for learning.
The school’s facilities were repaired and repainted using materials donated by TMPF to prepare for the new school year. Toyota’s participation in this annual clean-up drive is one of the company’s many initiatives for education and the community. Moreover, Toyota supports PSCES by sending its teachers to skills training, sponsoring their annual and physical examination (APE), holding various academic competitions and tours for students, and supplementing educational enrichment tools to promote excellence and holistic development of the students.
