Toyota Motors Philippines (TMP), the number one automotive brand in the country, celebrated a milestone last week when it breached the 1-million unit sales mark since it started operations in the country.

The celebration was held at the Shangri-la Hotel in Makati City on July 9, where Toyota dealers as well as top executives from other car brands were in attendance.

TMP president Michinobu Sugata attributed the feat on providing the brand’s customers with renowned quality products coupled with the company’s excellent aftersales experience.

TMP is the first-ever automobile manufacturer in the Philippines to break the 1-million unit sales mark. With that in mind, Toyota promises to put more value in customer service by providing them the ultimate Toyota Ownership Experience.

“With 46 dealerships nationwide to cater to the growing market, the public can expect more to open within the year. This expansion will allow more accessibility and convenience providing customers with renowned quality products and services Toyota can offer,” Sugata added.

In commemoration of the event, TMP introduced limited edition variants of the Vios sub-compact sedan and the Innova multi-purpose vehicle, both sporting the special “1-million” badge and a built-in navigational system. Moreover, the special edition Vios will come with newly-designed set of alloy wheels while the Innova gets a sporty rear spoiler. The limited edition variants will be available only for three months.
