Toyota Motor Philippines Corporation (TMP), through its social and humanitarian arm, Toyota Motor Philippines Foundation (TMPF), in partnership with the City Government of Santa Rosa and Gawad Kalinga (GK) Community Development Foundation, recently inaugurated the newly constructed Multi-Purpose Hall in the Toyota-City of Santa Rosa-GK Village in Brgy. Pulong Sta. Cruz, Santa Rosa City, Laguna.
The P3-million multi-purpose hall, which occupies a 300-sqm land area inside the 8-hectare village, was funded by the 2010, 2012 and 2014 Toyota Classics, a charitable concert held annually to promote appreciation for classical music and to become a medium in supporting humanitarian causes.
Last year, GK was chosen again to be one of the recipients of the 2015 Toyota Classics proceeds. Toyota’s additional P1 million donation has been allocated to purchase livelihood training equipment, furniture and other furnishings that will equip the multi-purpose hall.
Present during the ribbon-cutting ceremony are (from left) TMPF president Dr. David Go, former City Information Technology head Arnold Arcillas, Homeowners Association president Mario Manrique, GK head of Partnership-Building Jose Emilio Oquiñena, Santa Rosa City mayor Arlene Arcillas, TMP president Satoru Suzuki, Clean and Green committee head Josefina Arcillas, and Pulong Sta.
