Toyota Motor Philippines School of Technology (TMP Tech) was recently visited by Mohammed Abdul Latif Jameel, chairman and president of Abdul Latif Jameel Co. Ltd. (ALJ), Toyota’s leading distributor in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).
With the existing strategic Specialized Toyota Automotive Training Program (STATP) and the strong relationship among ALJ, Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) and TMP Tech, high-level officers closely discussed future deployment plans of TMP Tech STATP graduates.
Jameel disclosed ALJ will need more technicians in the near future as the Saudi Arabian automotive market continues to grow rapidly. Given this, there will be more employment opportunities for Filipinos overseas, especially for TMP Tech’s STATP graduates.
ALJ is recognized as a strong advocate of job creation and poverty alleviation in the Middle East and other parts of the world. TMP Tech, likewise, carries on its mission of bringing better opportunities for the Filipino youth by equipping them with quality technical education, as they eventually join the Toyota Global Network.
