Train kills fisherman in Camarines Sur


A FISHERMAN was hit by a commuter train on August 22 in Libmanan, Camarines Sur. Provincial Police Director Senior Supt. Primo Golingay, quoting reports from the field, identified the victim as Ryner Baradi y Arevalo, 26, from Cabusao town. Investigations showed that Arevalo was walking along the railroad in Barangay Mambulo Viejo when he was struck by the train headed for Sipocot town. Responding policemen rushed him to the Bicol Medical Center in Naga City but was declared dead on arrival by attending physicians. Libmanan police are coordinating with the Philippine National Railways to identify the driver of the train.
