Top local suppliers in the automotive sector coming together in a transport expo to meet with businesses and present their products and services.
The 4th Transport and Logistics Philippines, to be held on August 18 to 20, is expected to highlight the trends in transport and supply chain management in the country.
The expo comes amid projections of a 6-percent average economic growth in the next five years, mostly driven by services, manufacturing, exports and imports, foreign direct investment, and personal disposable income.
“I believe it’s high time for the transport and logistics industry to really take stock of what technologies and solutions are new in the market and discover how these can help improve their operations,” said Patrick Lawrence Tan, chief executive officer of Global-Link MP Events International Inc., the expo organizer.
“That’s actually one of the reasons why we decided to start mounting this show. We want to be able to give suppliers a chance to showcase their offerings on a bigger stage and to help draw the right crowd of potential clients to them,” Tan said.
Among the expo participants are Chevron, K-Lift Industrial Corp., Inframachineries Corp., JVF Commercial, Hino Motors Philippines, Wireless Link Technologies Inc., Isuzu Philippines, Autokid, Jade Bros, Mahindra, EAP Phils Inc., Conequip Phils Inc., and BJ Mercantile.
Tan said seminars to help equip every businessman and business enthusiast with the proper knowledge to successfully run their existing and soon-to-be companies will also be part of the expo.
The seminars include Automechanic Philippines (aftermarket parts), Autocare Philippines (upkeep, maintenance, and repair), and Autoshop Philippines (car accessories).
