A 55-year-old tricycle driver from Olongapo City, Zambales, was added to the list of the country’s instant millionaires.
The lone winner claimed the P39-million jackpot prize in Mega Lotto 6/45 February 2 draw of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO).
The PCSO acting chairman and General Manager, lawyer Jose Ferdinand Rojas 2nd, personally turned over the check to the winner.
Rojas said the winner got his winning combination from his birth dates, as well as of his parents and children.
The winner, who has three children, bet P40 to hit the winning numbers 04-12-13-15-19-29. He has been betting in lotto since 1996 .
Rojas said the winner plans to buy a house and lot, build apartments and invest in the transport business.
He thanked the public for its continued support to the government-run lottery.
