ZAMBOANGA CITY: Army soldiers killed a bandit and arrested a communist New People’s Army (NPA) rebel in separate clashes in Zamboanga Peninsula over the weekend.
Officials said troops from the 42nd Infantry Battalion engaged a local lawless group in a firefight killing one of them in Barangay Panabutan, Sirawani town of Zamboanga del Norte.
