TWO people were killed and another injured early dawn Monday after the delivery truck they were riding plowed into a row of coconut trees in a remote village in Quezon, police
Initial reports at the PNP national operations center in Camp Crame said the accident occurred at around 1:30 a.m. at Barangay Lungib, Calauag in Quezon.
The two fatalities were Emmanuel Marquez, driver and Ligaya Arida, passenger, while injured was Teodorico Anabo, truck helper.
The reports said the Isuzu truck (ZGG-221) loaded with 1,000 sacks of cement, was on its way to Cavite from Legazpi City when its brakes failed and plowed through a row of coconut trees on the roadside.
Marquez and Arida were reportedly killed on the spot while Anabo was rushed to St. Peter’s General Hospital for treatment, the reports said.
