ABOARD AIR FORCE ONE: US President Donald Trump said Tuesday that he personally asked Chinese leader Xi Jinping to intervene on behalf of three US college basketball players arrested in China for alleged shoplifting and expressed hope they would soon be sent home.
Trump told reporters that he brought up the case in talks with Xi during his two-day state visit to Beijing last week.
